“Salute” is Canadian singer Gordon Lightfoot’s 16th original album, released in 1983 on the Warner Brothers Records label. The album completed Lightfoot’s shift from acoustic folk/country compositions to a more sleek adult contemporary sound, a shift that Lightfoot had begun on “Shadows”.
