Description
“We Free Kings” is an album by Roland Kirk recorded on the Mercury label. The array of horns that Roland Kirk draped over his neck was for far more than show. He could play multiple saxophones and even nose flutes simultaneously.
This 1961 release has him working through a set of bluesy post-bop numbers. The title track, a Kirk composition, is a variation on the Christmas carol “We Three Kings”.
