Description
“Good God” is the eponymous first and only album by the funk/fusion band of the same name.
Perhaps the greatest of all “one-shot” progressive / fusion bands in the US, the band was led by guitarist Zeno Sparkles (Larry Cardarelli). Legend is that the band took it’s name from a comment by Captain Beefheart to the question “Can you suggest a name for the band?” made during a telephone conversation with the band’s manager.
Rated as one of Philadelphia’s top 100 albums of all time. Standout tracks are covers of Frank Zappa’s “King Kong” and John McLaughlin’s “Dragon Song”. If you are into Fusion, this one is a must have.
