Description
The great Orson Welles dramatically reading “The Begatting of The President”. A slightly sacreligious yet scathing pseudo-scriptural account of the rise of Richard Nixon, and the LBJ years that ran into a storm of controversy. It was banned by Metromedia stations and broadcast mainly on FM stations.
The record was a bold onslaught on Richard Nixon, delivered in a quasi-biblical mode. However, Welles won a Grammy for the record.
