Midnight Express is a Giorgio Moroder soundtrack for the 1978 film based on Billy Hayes’ book of the same name adapted into screenplay by Oliver Stone.

Released on October 6, 1978 by Casablanca Records, the score to Midnight Express won the Academy Award for Best Original Score in 1979 .
