“Keys To The City” is pianist Mulgrew Miller’s 1985 debut as a leader with his McCoy Tyner-inspired modal style fully formed. At the time of this recording, he was a member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers and was starting to become well-known in the jazz world.
