Weird Scenes Inside the Gold Mine was The Doors’ second compilation album and first to be released after the death of Jim Morrison, in January of 1972.

The album’s title is a lyric from the song “The End“. The album cover was designed by Bill Hoffman, with inside band shots by Joel Brodsky.
