“The Dave Brubeck Quartet: Newport 1958” is a live recording of the Dave Brubeck Quartet at that legendary venue in 1958.

Brubeck’s admiration for Duke Ellington as one of the greatest of jazz composer/musicians led him to dedicate his concert set at the Newport Jazz Festival that year to music by or associated with Ellington, as well as playing his own tribute composition, “The Duke“.
