Description
“Last Tango in Paris” is the eponymous title of the soundtrack for the 1972 movie by Bernardo Bertolucci starring Marlon Brando, composed and performed by Argentine saxophonist Gato Barbieri.
Barbieri introduced audiences to the modern tango — complete with bandoneon, taut and pungent strings courtesy of jazz arranger Oliver Nelson and, of course, Barbieri’s own fiery, passionate tenor.
