“Old Ways” is a country album by Neil Young, released in 1985. It features guest artists Wayon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Ralph Mooney, Bela Fleck, Rufus Thibodeaux, Hargus “Pig” Robbins, Marty Stuart and others.

“Old Ways” is a country album, and although it’s a perfectly fine album, at the time of release, it was not considered a true Neil Young rock album. Thirty years later, this is still a terrific album, country or not. It’s not complex or inaccessible. It flows well and it’s simple hooks and verses play well with Young’s instrumentation.
