Description
Electric Mud is a re-issue of the fifth studio album by Muddy Waters, with members of Rotary Connection playing as his backing band. Originally released in 1968, it imagines Muddy Waters as a psychedelic musician. Producer Marshall Chess suggested that Muddy Waters recorded it in an attempt to appeal to a rock audience.
This standard edition version of Electric Mud was released on Third Man Records in October 2017, at Jack White’s pressing facility in Detroit Michigan. It comes in a black vinyl LP, with a Gatefold jacket in its original black-on-white color scheme, and a four-panel foldout poster.
