“Those Were The Days” is an album released in 1983 by singer Gary Stewart and songwriter Dean Dillon that celebrates the honky tonk lifestyle.

This six-song mini-LP is what RCA issued by the duo of Gary Stewart and Dean Dillon , shortly after they’d issued a full-length album (Brotherly Love) on the same label.

All of the tracks were co-writes between the two, and often with another collaborator. Here, “Hard Times for Lovers,” and “Losers and Lovers” are weepers that work so well they seem timeless.
