Description

“The Amazing Bud Powell Vol. 2” is a re-issue album by jazz pianist Bud Powell, originally released on Blue Note Records in 1953, featuring a session Powell recorded with George Duvivier (bass) and Art Taylor (drums) at the WOR Studios in New York on August 14, 1953. “The Amazing Bud Powell, Volume 2” is from the 12″ LP that was released in 1955 by Blue Note (BLP 1504).

This album included all master takes of the 1953 Blue Note session that had been on the 10″ album first, plus some takes which belong to the sessions of 1949 and 1951 that were mostly on Volume 1 (BLP 1503), released at the same time.
