Word Jazz is an album by voice-over recording artist Ken Nordine originally recorded in 1957.

Already making a comfortable living in the world of commercial voice-overs as early as the Fifties — you could hear him pitching cars, wine, coffee, Levi jeans and more whenever you turned on the TV or radio — Ken Nordine felt the need to do something creative for himself, and thus he started the “Word Jazz” series of records.

Each of the tracks here features Nordine’ sonorous voice speaking over a jazz track provided by the Fred Katz Group. Very hip both then and now.
