“Explosions” is an experimental album by pianist/composer  Bob James, then a recent college graduate, who brought to ESP a master of a session he had produced, featuring Barre Phillips and Bob Pozar.

James chose for the front cover a torn poster he had photographed on a visit to Australia. Recorded May 10, 1965 at Bell Sound Studios, NYC.
