“The Trouble With Normal” is an album by Canadian Folk artist Bruce Cockburn. This is the first of Bruce’s political trilogy albums (“Stealing Fire”, and “World of Wonders” being the others) from the 80’s.

There is the tendency to get heavy-handed at times, but still, “The Trouble With Normal” contains some of Cockburn ‘s most beautifully imagistic writing to date and is another strong effort.

The U.S. release contains an alternate, yet inferior take of the title track, which makes the Canadian (True North) version preferable. Just nine powerful songs that will rock your world if you are reasonably in sync with the politics behind them.
