“Poetic Champions Compose” is the seventeenth album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, released in 1987.

The album was recorded in London and Bath, and emphasized Morrison’s commitment to creating a more contemplative style of music. All of the songs but “Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child” are original compositions.
