“The City Of New Orleans / Ukulele Lady” is a single by Arlo Guthrie from 1972. Guthrie had recorded it with his backup group Shenandoah, and the song became one of his two greatest hits.

The other was Alice’s Restaurant. The song chronicles Steve Goodman’s travelling from his home town Chicago to New Orleans.
