Forty Blue Fingers Freshly Packed…<\/em><\/strong> is an album by Chicken Shack<\/strong> released in 1968.<\/p>\n

This British blues-rock group is remembered mostly for their keyboard player,\u00a0Christine Perfect<\/a>, who would join\u00a0Fleetwood Mac<\/a>\u00a0after marrying\u00a0John McVie<\/a>\u00a0and changing her last name.<\/p>\n

Although they were one of the more pedestrian acts of the British blues boom,\u00a0Chicken Shack<\/a>\u00a0was quite popular for a time in the late ’60s, placing two albums in the British Top 20. The frontperson of\u00a0Chicken<\/a>\u00a0was not\u00a0Perfect<\/a>\/McVie<\/a>, but guitarist\u00a0Stan Webb<\/a>, who would excite British audiences by entering the crowds at performances, courtesy of his 100-meter-long guitar lead.<\/p>\n

They were signed to\u00a0Mike Vernon<\/a>‘s Blue Horizon label, a British blues pillar that had its biggest success with early\u00a0Fleetwood Mac<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/sup><\/sup>This album has three Freddy King covers; “Lonesome Whistle Blues<\/em>” (written by\u00a0Rudolph Toombs<\/a>), “See See Baby”<\/em> from\u00a0Freddy King Sings<\/a><\/i>; and “San-Ho-Zay<\/em>” from\u00a0Let’s Hide Away and Dance Away<\/a><\/i>.\u00a0<\/sup><\/p>\n
